Jane Austen's novels always were set in her familiar rural life and were inseparable from the manor; each novel has one or several manor. In "Pride and Prejudice", Elizabeth firstly met and fell in love with Darcy at a dance meeting on the Nigerian manor .In Pemberley manor, they finally ironed out the misunderstanding and eventually unit in marriage; "Mansfield Park" is named after the manor. Austen's manor is a kind of real - life description which successfully reproduces some remarkable features of the 18th - century England manor and also incorporates her own imagination space to give the manor some specific cultural connotations.
