摘要
20世纪60年代以后,海外华裔学术界中国现代文学史的研究取得丰硕成果。夏志清的《中国现代小说史》以"感时忧国"为20世纪中国文学现代性的核心思想意涵,同时以西方"新批评"理论为审美标准,使其文学史叙述具有开创范式意义。李欧梵在"感时忧国"大传统下,对中国现代文学的个性主义、浪漫主义展开研究。王德威则以非历史主义的"假想叙事",视晚清小说自发而杂芜的"求新求变"之"众声喧哗",为中国文学现代性的真正起点,从而颠覆"五四"新文学相应的历史地位。秉持截然不同的现代性核心意涵,便构建出完全不同历史景观的"中国现代文学史"来。
