白介素-25(interleukin-25,IL-25),又称IL-17E,作为白细胞介素-17(interleukin-17,IL-17)家族的新成员,具有独特的分子结构和生物学功能。既往的研究认为IL-25主要介导2型免疫反应。然而,近些年的部分研究结果显示,IL-25也参与了多种炎症、免疫性疾病的发生发展。因此,了解IL-25的相关作用,将为炎症性疾病、自身免疫病等疾病的治疗提供新的靶点,具有重要的临床应用价值。

Interleukin-25（IL-25）, mostly known as IL-17 E, is a novel member of IL-17 cytokine family.IL-25 has unique structure and function. Previous research indicated that IL-25 is involved in T helper type 2（Th2）responses. However, recent studies have shown that IL-25 potentially participates in the development of inflammation and autoimmune disease. Better understanding the role of IL-25 will provide a promising target for the treatment of these diseases and can be exploited rationally in clinic practice.
