陈铨在西南联大的剧作及《野玫瑰》的演出与争论

Chen Quan's Dramatic Works in Southwest Associated University and the Performance and Dispute of The Wild Rose

陈铨是西南联大戏剧的主要代表人物之一。他创作了多部剧本,还做过戏剧导演,成绩不俗。在他的剧作中,成就巨大、影响广泛、论争激烈的是《野玫瑰》。实际上,《野玫瑰》是一部瑕瑜互见的作品。极端的利己主义者王立民,民族主义者夏艳华,都刻画生动突出。但浪漫狂想与某些细节乃至情节的安排又在一定程度上损害了作品的艺术成就。作品屡被争相排演以及演出的热烈反响,说明作品的思想和艺术,尤其是紧扣抗战的民族主义精神符合了时代潮流。当时的批判出于政治的需要和派别的牵连,是国共斗争的必然。今天应当正确地评价《野玫瑰》。

Abstract ： Chen Quan, one of the major representatives of drama in Southwest Associated University, has writ- ten a number of plays and also worked as a theatre director, thus having secured remarkable achievements. Of his plays, the most successful, influential and controversial one is The Wild Rose, a play actually with overt merits and demerits. Although Wang Limin, an extreme egoist, and Xia Yanhua, a nationalist, are both portrayed vividly and prominently, the romantic fantasies and some details as well as the plot arrangement have somewhat tarnished the artistic merit of the play. The frequent rehea^al of the play and the enthusiastic response of its performance indicate the conformity of the thought and art of the play, esp. its national spirit geared to the Anti-Japanese War, to the trend of the times. The criticism at that time was the necessity of the struggle between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party for political needs and the involvement of factions, therefore The Wild Rose should be evaluated properly nowadays.
