During the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, New York Times had reported various aspects of Chi- nese culture, including Chinese nationalism, honesty and conservative characteristics of Chinese people. These reports had both the rational and perceptible observation of journalists after their field study of Chinese culture, and the prejudice against Chinese culture from the Westerners under the premise of the ＂cultural arrogance＂.
