Beading Laocoon is a famous article by Qian Zhongshu. It analyzes and supplements the theory on the relationship be- tween poetry and painting in Lessing＇s Laocoon. However, it is based on negligence or misreading, which reflects their different histor- ical and literary backgrounds. Although there is a great defect in this article, Qian Zhongshu＇s supplement, from a micro-perspective, is a powerful explanation of the unique advantages of language art in expressing rich and complex inner experiences and psychological changes. Therefore, its academic value and significance are reserved.
