The design of La Sededella Banca Popolare di Verona is a project worth to be further explored,whether in terms of the work itself,or from the perspective of Scarpa’s overall career.Departing from over a thousand sketches by Scarpa as the main source of research,the paper attempts to trace and reconstruct his design process and respective methods.The project seeks new possibilities of multistorey office-building design,as well as the relationship between the old and the new,providing inspirations specific to the current situation of urban practice and thinking.
