自译研究新范式,引领翻译实践观——评《散文自译与自评》

摘要 用传统的"作者-译者"二元对立的翻译理论已难以解释清楚自译中存在的问题。这一事实需要对自译进行再定性,打破"作者-译者"二元对立的既有认识,构建"作者-译者-评者"三位一体的研究范式,将作者与译者放置在连续统上考察,能更清楚地认识自译以及翻译作为实践行为的本质。《散文自译与自评》(2017)一书便扑捉到了自译研究的这一重要议题,在概念的重新定性、研究范式的破与立以及对翻译实践观的引领方面都做出了应有的贡献。 Some new problems in the self-translation cannot be resolved any more with the traditional trans- lation theories which take the author and the translator into two opposite positions. It is necessary to break the traditional knowledge about self-translation and redefine the nature of self-translation. It is better, based on the new three-in-one paradigm of "author-translator-evaluator", to recognize the nature of self- translation and even the translation itself, as a kind of practice behavior, by putting the author and the translator on a continuum. Self-Translation and Self-Evaluation of Chinese Prose Writings (2017) gets the point and demonstrates its significance in the requalification of self-translation, breakout of study paradigm and the guideline on the practical concept of translation.
