摘要
在过去30年中国经济急速发展的语境中,艺术世界已见证了风格独具的中国当代艺术的崛起。尽管中国发展迅速,但是依赖西方艺术的史学方法和批评理论,将与西方不同的中国本土艺术纳入西方历史叙事的现象,导致了西方批评家们许多自以为是的假想以及潜在的阐释困难,并继续使西方视角与观点凌驾于东方艺术之上。王建疆呼吁主义的建立,这是中国当代文化以及处于全球话语思想范围内的中国发出"声音"的一种尝试。主义的发展将刺激中国艺术的成长,并提升其对近年来已造成负面效果的市场影响的抵御能力。
Within the context of radical economic development within China in the past 30 years, the art world has also seen the rise of a distinct Chinese Contemporary Art. Though development has been rapid, China still remains dependent to western art historical methods and critical theories as tools to engage and assess indigenous art that does not fit into a western historical narrative. This has led to assumptions being made by western critics and potential difficulties in interpretation. It also continues to privilege western perspectives and views over eastern. Wang Jianjiang's call for the development of Zhuyi is the attempt to give "voice" to Chinese contemporary culture and to China within the global discourse of ideas. The development of Zhuyi will stimulate the growth of Chinese art and improve its ability to resist the coopting influence of the marketplace, which has had a negative impact in recent years.
