在研究重庆民族分布和民歌地域分布基础上,指出重庆少数民族民歌主要由土家族民歌和苗族民歌组成。依据民歌的内容,重庆少数民族民歌在种类上主要分为古歌、劳动歌、生活歌三大类。重庆少数民族民歌是重庆少数民族文化的活化石,它为特殊的文化系统、流域等地理环境所孕育,包含了民歌与人诗意生存的关联。从民歌的价值功能自然能够揭示保护民歌的意义。

On the basis of the research of Chongqing national distribution and regional distribution of folk songs, the article points out that folk songs of minorities in Chongqing were composed of Tujia people＇s folk songs and Miao people＇s folk songs. Based on the content of the songs, folk song of minorities in Chongqing mainly divided into old song, labor songs, and songs of life etc.The folk song of minorities in Chongqing is the living fossil of Chongqing minority cultures, and it is born in the special cultural system, geographical environment of watershed area, which includes the relationship of folk song and poetic existence. From the value of the folk songs, the meaning of folk songs can be revealed naturally.
