欲望是苏童小说不可缺少的关键词,在长篇小说《黄雀记》中,作者再一次将我们带回了他所熟悉的"香椿树街",为我们展示了20世纪80年代到新世纪初的时代巨变之中,三位主人公保润、仙女和柳生,以及香椿树街居民在欲望叫嚣中的沉沦、挣扎和救赎。大时代的激变给人性之弱点以发酵的土壤,青春期的反叛又做了罪恶的推手,香椿树街的欲望图景是丰富多样的。欲望是人之本性,但欲望一旦膨胀,命运就会给人以无情的惩罚。三位主人公的救赎无望说明了灵魂安放之艰难,这既是命运给生命的无法承受之重,也显示了作者对于出路的无力找寻。

Desire is the indispensable key word in Su Tong＇s novels. In the novel ＂The Yellowbird＂, the author brought us back once again his familiar ＂Xiangchunshu Street＂, telling to us the ups and downs, fighting and salvation in the desire of shouting of the three main characters, Baorun, Xiannv and Liusheng, and the residents in the street, under the great change from the 1980 s to the new centuries of 2000. The great changes of era provide the conditions of people ＇s growing weakness, and prompt the rebellion of youth age, in which the desire of the Xiangchuanshu Street is diversified. Desire is the nature of human beings, but if it expands, the fate will bring punishment to the people. The salvation of three main characters tells the difficulties of peace soul,which is the unbearable weight of life brought by the fate, and also shows the weak pursuit of the author.
