On the Causes for Failures of State-owned Enterprises Overseas Investment

中国企业对外投资增长迅速,其中国有企业占据了半壁江山。国有企业海外投资关系到国有企业国家化战略的实施、关系到国有资产的保值增值、关系到中国企业的国际竞争力的提升,具有重大的现实意义。分析和梳理当前国有企业海外投资失败案例,寻找导致国有企业海外投资失败的内外部原因,一方面可以帮助国有企业从自身角度完善公司治理,另一方面可以为国家加强对国有企业海外投资进行宏观指导和监督提出有益的对策和建议。

The number of Chinese enterprises overseas investment is growing rapidly,of which the state-owned enterprises overseas investment occupies about half of the total number. State-owned enterprises overseas investment is of great practical significance. It is very important to the implementation of the state-owned enterprise internationalization strategy,the value of state-owned assets,the ascension of the international competitiveness of Chinese enterprises. Based on the analysis of the state-owned enterprises overseas investment failure case recently,this study reveals the various reasons for the failures of state-owned enterprises overseas investment,and puts forward some ideas and suggestions,e.g. that state-owned enterprises should try to perfect their corporate governance,meanwhile the government should strengthen its macro guidance and supervision.
