摘要
本研究通过心理语言学实验考察了中国英语学习者对不同类型翻译歧义词的跨语言识别过程,旨在揭示两种语言系统之间词形—意义映射的非对称性对词汇通达的影响。研究结果表明:受试对词形歧义词的识别更快更准确,对意义歧义词的识别则更加困难;主要翻译对等词比次要翻译对等词更具反应优势。研究结果支持了分布式概念表征模型,也体现了二语学习中词汇习得过程的复杂性和灵活性。
Through two psycholinguistic experiments, this study investigates the identification process of translation- ambiguous words by Chinese English learners, aiming to reveal the asymmetry effects of form-meaning mapping between two language systems on lexical access. The results show that form ambiguity is responded more quickly and accurately than meaning ambiguity, and dominant translation equivalents have an advantage over non-dominant trans- lation equivalents in identification of translation-ambiguous words. The findings support the Distributed Conceptual Feature Model, and indicate the complexity and flexibility of the vocabulary acquisition process in second language learning.
