摘要
苏童是中国当代最擅长空间叙事的作家之一。他总是有意识地规避时间的束缚,让时间融化在某种空间形式中。"香椿树街"与"枫杨树乡"这两个标志性的空间坐标,建构起了属于苏童的"纸上的南方"。这一虚构的空间,并非承载故事的一个空洞载体,而是推动叙事进程的有力手段,是整个文本的总体叙事策略。其中蕴藉的丰厚隐喻超越了地域景观的生活经验和直观感受,延伸向广袤的历史与社会,与创作主体强大的情感力量共同书写了各色人间故事,生成文本主体性的生产机制和意义建构。"纸上的南方"本身成为了存在的意义。
Su Tong is one of the authors who are best at spatial narrative in Contemporary China.He consciously evades time constraint and melts time into some kind of space form.'Chinese Toon Tree Street'and'Chinese Ash Tree Township'are the typical landmark space coordinates,which construct the'south on paper',belonged to Su Tong.This imaginary space is the powerful means which promotes narrative process and the overall narrative strategy of the whole text,instead of a hollowcarrier for the story.Among which,the accumulated rich metaphor surpasses the life experience and intuitive feeling of regional landscape and extends to the vast history and society,writing human story together with the strong emotional strength of creation subject,and generating the production mechanism and meaning construction of subjectivity of text.The'South on paper'itself becomes the meaning of existence,which makes us dispense with searching for other meanings.
