历史空间数据可视化与经济史研究——以近代中国粮食市场为例

Historical Spatial Data Visualization and Economic History Study

本文梳理了历史空间数据的可视化方法在历史研究,特别是经济史研究中使用的发展脉络,探讨了未来经济史研究领域利用可视化手段的可能性。同时,以清代南方粮价空间分布和粮食运销网络为例说明了如何对历史空间经济数据进行可视化,分析得到清代南方地区米价从东到西的四个空间梯度,同时根据旧海关统计中的"多种粮食"贸易源汇数据,在分析其空间属性基础上定量重建了20世纪30年代的粮食贸易网络。本文认为可视化能够在原始史料"二次整理"过程中发挥较大的作用,在学科交叉和融合方面有着很好的学术前景。

This paper reviews the history of spatial data visualization in the Economic History study and explores the possibility of data visualization used in economic history. In this paper, grain price in Qing dynasty was visualized as an example. The intelligence and memorial system of grain price around the empire in Qing dynasty can give us reliable data to analyze the spatial distribution of the grain price. Under the help of GIS software, four spatial cluster or four spatial areas was recognized in the south China because of the market integration. With the publication of the Chinese Maritime Customer data, we can get more trade information from that and the Origin-Destination data can help us to quantitatively reconstruct the grain trade network in modern China first time.
