As the smallest unit in local Chronicles, the book of Foshan Zhongyi Local Chronicles is compiled spontaneously by countryman with high academic value and advanced thoughtful recognition. It firstly put forward the constitutional dream of the people, and made an objective evaluation on a series reforms and changes happened in the late Qing dynasty. It reflected the trend of the times with a clear enlightenment on the purpose of people’s livelihood, public opinion as the first priority, mind of education.
