The Event of State Change and Diachronic Development of Chinese Causative Constructions

对古汉语中的使动结构作界定,确定了两类使动结构:"破"类和"坏"类。分析两类使动宾语句的概念结构,解释了"破""坏"这两类动词表述致动事件与自动事件的转换关系。同时探讨了使动结构的历时演变,指出:连动式最终发展成动补结构,是受到概念整合规律的影响。

This paper makes a definition of causative constructions, confirms two kinds of causative constructions： “ h u a i” and “po”. We analyze the conceptual structure of causative constructions, and explain the transition condition when they express the causative type or the automatic type. This paper discusses the diachronic development of causative constructions, and points out that it was affected by the regulation of conceptual integration when “ liandong” structure developed into “dongbu” structure.
