Between Tradition and Innovation: Research on the Inheritance,Protection and Industrial Development of Suzhou Embroidery

苏绣以多变的针法、精美的绣工和丰富多样的形态而著称,是文化古城苏州的重要名片和特色经济产业。近年来,苏绣面临着不少传承发展中的现实困境并引发保护和知识产权风险等一系列法律问题。苏绣的传承、保护和发展工作是一个系统工程。因此,应协调处理好苏绣传承事业和产业开发、遗产保护和市场利用之间的互动关系,实现苏绣艺术在真正意义上的传承和可持续性发展。

Suzhou embroidery is famous for its great variety of needleart,exquisite embroidering craftsmanship and rich and diverse patterns,and it is an important calling card and characteristic industry of the cultural city Suzhou. In recent years,the inheritance and development of Suzhou embroidery has encountered many difficulties and some legal problems related with its protection and intellectual property rights. Theinheritance,protection and industrial development of Suzhou embroidery is a systematic project,thus we should deal properly with the interactive relations between the inheritance of Suzhou embroidery and its industrial development,heritage protection and market utilization,and realize the inheritance and sustainable development of Suzhou Embroidery art.
