The market of room air conditioner in China is converting from fixed-speed products to frequency-conversion products.Meanwhile,we are facing the dual challenges of energy saving and refrigerant substitute.Our major research topics are how to implement the promotion of national standards of energy efficiency for both of fixed-speed room air conditioner and frequency-conversion room air conditioner,guarantee the sustainable development of air conditioner industry and enhance the market competitiveness of China＇s room air conditioners.Some suggestions and prospects on the standard formulation（revision）are put forward through analyzing the current market and policy requirements.
