Graduation thesis （design） is one of important practical teaching processes for undergraduate majored in materials.Major of materials processing and controlling engineering is taken as an example in this paper,the main processes in graduation thesis （design） was introduced,such as principles and countermeasures of topic selection,targets and tasks of thesis proposal,guiding methodology,thesis marking and defense,and the importance of process management and quality controlling during graduation thesis （design） period was also emphasized.
