In order to increase the capacity of barley preparation equipment to response the market, based on product family and SolidWorks Enterprise PDM, a rapid family-based design oriented design platform of barley preparation equipment is developed which is based on secondary development of the common platform of Solid Works by using generalized modular technology. The set up of platform model and the function of rapid product design, analysis and optimization are achieved. The development period of new products is shortened and design efficiency is improved. The personalized market requirements can be responsed quickly.
