影片《十二公民》改编自美国影片《十二怒汉》,该片剧情的演进发展,符合传播学中的创新扩散理论。从人员构成、剧情发展和转变直到最终实现意志整合,都可以在创新扩散理论中找到对应表现。从传播学角度重新审视《十二公民》,是对电影批评的一种有益补充。

Twelve Citizens is an adapted film from an American film,Twelve Angry Men,its plot development well conforms to the innovation and diffusion theory of communication studies. All those,ranging from staff composition,plot development and changes,to the final will-power integration,can find its corresponding reflections in the innovation and diffusion theory. From the perspective of the communication studies,the reexamination of the adapted film is greatly supplementary to the film criticism.
