Proper polycarboxylate superplasticizer is added during the preparation procedure of concrete, which can not only achieve the goal of good water reduction, but also keep relatively smaller loss in the aspect of slump constant. The mechanism of action of polycarboxylate superplasticizer is analyzed briefly, and its application range is elaborated. The practice proves that, the improvement effect of polycarboxylate superplasticizer on concrete performance is remarkable.
