On How to Implement the party's Online Mass Line

习近平总书记认为人民群众始终是我们党的坚实执政基础,党的网络群众路线是群众路线的网络空间延伸。网络群众路线不是网络路线的简单复制或空间转移,它包括群众的广泛性、路线的交互性、工作的务实性。走好网络群众路线,必须不断创新践行方式、完善工作机制,解决领导干部的本领恐慌、纾解网民的非理性心理感受、加强网络群众路线的制度建设。

President Xi Jinping stresses that the masses have always been and will always be the Party＇ s ruling foundation. The online mass line is an extension of the Party＇s mass line to the cyberspace, but it is not a lazy copy and paste or a simple spatial transference. It highlights the universal presence of the ＂masses＂, the interactive nature of the ＂line＂ and the pragmatic nature of the Party＇s job. To effect the online mass line, we must come up with innovative practices, improve our work mechanism, help the officials to get rid of their fear of inability and the netizens to deal with their irra- tional mental feelings and strengthen the institutional construction regarding the online mass line.
