Poetry appreciation was one of important literal activities in ancient China. Influenced by social environment, the form of poetry appreciation entered a new stage of spread and acceptation in the Song Dynasty. During this period, notes on poetry in the Song Dynasty with long and deep influence came into being. Through notes on poetry in the Song Dynasty, the literati, taking the poetry or the persons and incidents in the past as basic materials, processed the materials and appreciated poetry, the persons, and the incidents in free and lively forms. This type of literal activities could be regarded as a way literati＇s consumed poetry, which was a way filled with interest and knowledge.
