朱仙镇,是中国古时四大名镇之一。在明清之际,曾一度成为中原的商业重镇和文化中心。朱仙镇木版年画是中国木版年画的鼻祖,作为传统文化的"活化石",以其自身独有的东方文化魅力,与现代社会构成良性互动。一方面现代社会促使木版年画现代化,另一方面木版年画也赋予现代社会新的发展契机。两者的互动不仅使朱仙镇木版年画得到更好的传承与发展,而且还为现代社会增添了活力,促进了经济的发展。

Zhuxian Town, is one of the four famous Chinese towns in ancient times. During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it has become the centre of commerce and culture in the Central Plains.
