太原失陷后 ,阎锡山偏安于晋西 ,在政治上逐步倒退 ,由联共抗日转向反共 ,制造磨擦 ;在军事上对日军主动出击少 ,被迫应战 ,或消极避战多 ,对全民族抗战产生了消极影响。

After the fall of Taiyuan,Yan Xishan,content to raetin sovereignty of the western Shanxi,retrogressed step by step in politics,changed from resisting the Japanese troops by uniting the Communist Party to fighting against the Communist Party by creating friction,lacked active military actions against the Japanese troops,but passively dealt with the Japanese intrusions,causing an adverse impact on the national resistance against the Japanese aggression.
