真正的高贵在于优于过去的自己——歌剧《僧莲》观后感

True nobility is being better than your previous self:On The Monk and the Lotus

提笔写下这个题目，是因为我对他的过去比较了解——王飞，男高音，曾任上海歌剧院合唱团演员。那时的他也曾出演过一些歌剧中的重要角色，但大部分时间仍是在合唱团里，这个集体声乐空间似乎总满足不了他那不太安稳的心，我常常感觉到他的焦躁不安。

Tenor Wang Fei used to be a member of the Shanghai Opera House chorus.After he arrived in London to study opera directing,he changed his personal style,even changing his name to Wang Shiru.Recently his work The Monk and the Lotus was presented in two operas festivals in London—Tete a Tete and Grimeborn—in which he played multiple roles as producer,writer, director and vocal coach. When I saw Wang take his bow on stage, I thought to myself:a Chinese person has proved that people can transform themselves in later incarnations.
