近代社会历史视域下的王孟英

An Interpretation of WANG Meng-ying from the Perspective of Modern Social History

从近代社会历史的视域,解读晚清著名医家王孟英。19世纪60年代,中国社会发生巨大变化,国内爆发太平天国运动。王孟英身处社会的剧变期,虽历经战乱,仍不忘思索动乱之源,著饮食之书以教化;其栖身他乡,适逢疫情,则重订《霍乱论》,并亲自救治病人;其治疫,审因辨证,绝不偏执。王孟英以自己的行动,一生坚守并践行"济世"之志。

This paper is to analyze Dr. Wang Meng-yingin,the famous doctor in the late Qing Dynasty,from the perspective of modern social history. In 1860 s,great changes happened to Chinese society with domestic outbreak of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom movement. Although WANG Meng-ying experienced the war in the social upheaval,he did not forget the source of unrest to write the book of diet to educate.Personally he cured the epidemic,when drifted in an alien land with a cholera epidemic. He renewed the book of Theory of Cholera; he saved the lives from the epidemic by syndrome differentiation without bigotry. WANG Meng-ying stuck to his life ambition of ＂ assisting theworld＂ by his own practice.
