General practitioners are responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of common diseases and frequently-occurring disease,preventive care,chronic disease management and health management service,known as＂gatekeeper＂of the health of inhabitants.However,due to the late start of general medicine in China,there were few qualified general practitioners.One of the important reasons is that our training mode of general practitioners in our country is not perfect.Therefore,to explore the training mode of general practitioners which conform to our national conditions is the focus of medical reform in China.The characteristics of the subject of general medicine and emergency medicine had a lot of similarity.Therefore,it is feasible to train general practitioner based on emergency medical.And it is a useful attempt to cultivate qualified general practitioners at the initial stage of the development of general practice in China.
