By taking an orphan college studentdiagnosed as a schizophrenic as an example, this paper explores the application of the Solution-Focused Model in the work of older orphan students. It believes thatthe Solution-Focused Model ideas and values help to establish trustful and cooperative relationship between workers and students. By the techniques of constructing solutions of the Solution-Focused Model, the worker can help the client to make good goals and plans and promote a positive change for even the older orphan client affected by schizophrenia so as to helpclient to live a meaningful and rich life.
