设施果树涵盖范围较广,其中果树促成栽培起自20世纪末期,到目前为止,全国设施果树栽培面积约10万hm^2以上,居世界第一位。主要分布在我国北方,其中辽宁省设施果树面积3万hm^2,产量50万t,树种以草莓、葡萄、桃为主,还有蓝莓、李、杏、甜樱桃等,主要是果实不耐贮运的树种。作者充分论述了发展设施果树的意义、辽宁省发展设施果树的优势和生产中存在的问题,对推动辽宁省及类似气候区设施果树的发展有着普遍的指导意义。
