Presents the development and application of variable air volume （VAV） air conditioning system at home and abroad. Analyses the shortages of VAV air conditioning technology in China. Points out that the main reason of the unsatisfactory VAV air conditioning system application is lack of professional coordination. Puts forward the methods for improving design, commissioning, operation and maintenance of VAV air conditioning system.
