Antoine de Saint-Exupery＇ s The Little Prince is a classic fairy tale which is filled with the romantic atmosphere of France in nineteenth Century. Starting from the background of Existentialism and the living environ- ment of absurdity and nihility, through the textual interpretation of fairy tales, this paper explores the value of life, reveals the spirit of the people during the Second World War, analyzes their loneliness, hardship and survival on the alienation phenomenon and the hidden Existential view.
