摘要
本文从词素语义激活时间进程视角,采用词汇判断任务,探析中国学习者英语复合词加工模式。实验发现复合词加工先形后义,整词语义激活发生在首词素激活后、尾词素激活前,加工早晚期均出现整词熟悉度效应,首词素语义激活后出现透明度效应。结果表明,中国学习者采用多通道模式,按时间顺序多种信息交互,共同激活整词,这与本族语者相同。与本族语者不同的是,中国学习者在复合词加工早期未能加工语义线索,且尾词素语义激活不彻底。该发现支持基于认知加工负荷的观点。
This paper investigates Chinese EFL learners processing of English compounds in two SOA conditions(66ms and 300ms). It is found that Chinese learners produced robust form priming and no semantic priming on the early stage, and the whole compounds were activated after their left, and before their right, constituents. An effect of compound familiarity was observed on these two stages, and a transparency effect captured after the activation of the left constituent. The results also show that Chinese learners, like the native speaker, took a multi-route model on the basis of a temporal and interactive use of all morphological cues. But unlike the native speaker, Chinese learners could not process the semantic clues at the beginning stage, nor could they activate the semantics of the right constituent fully. This paper supports the hypothesis based on cognitive resource limitation.
