《人民的名义》以社会热点"反腐"问题和较高的艺术水准与制作质量创造收视新高,成为了一部现象级的话题作品。但是,该剧在叙事方面,依然存在一些不完美之处:宣教意味太浓,娱乐元素还需进一步完善;反派角色个性鲜明,但分寸把握有偏颇,正派角色大多模式化;正派和反派力量对比悬殊,戏剧冲突解决失之简单化;叙事节奏失衡,喧宾夺主,虎头蛇尾。该剧若能慎重对待叙事方面的问题,实现主旋律与娱乐化的平衡、政治与市场的平衡、官员与人民的平衡,在内容上和思想传达上便可更臻完美。

In the Name of the People has created high ratings and has become a phenomenon because of its theme of anti-corruption and its high artistic level and quality. However, there are imperfect parts in narration including didacticism, archetypal decent characters and badly played villains,simplistic resolution of dramatic conflict and poor rhythm. A good narration can balance the mainstream ideology and entertainment, politics and market, officials and people, and can make the program perfect in both content and ideas.
