The unearthed epitaph of Yuan family in Beiwei Dynasty records the changes of the family clan in spiritual culture. It reflects such important information as the Yuan family＇s lineage, knowledge structure, cultural activities and regional belief, which provides substantial historical materials for understanding the process of central plain culture replacing grassland culture. It is of great significance to clarify various factors influencing the evolution ofthe literature in Beiwei Dynasty.
