Intimate Friendship Embodied in Poetry——Mr.Zhao Puchu and Master Xingyun

赵朴老与星云大师的交往照亮了中国佛教发展的方向。他们在泰国初次相见,赵朴老成就了星云大师多次前往大陆的殊胜因缘,将两岸佛教的交流推向高潮。二人共同抱有建设人间净土、利乐有情众生的悲心大愿,比较容易引起情感和思想上的共鸣。星云大师与赵朴老的交往作为两岸民间交往的重要组成部分,对促进海峡两岸和平交往做出了不可磨灭的历史贡献。

The friendship between Mr. Zhao Puchu and Master Xingyun has illuminated the direction of Chinese Buddhism. They met in Thailand for the first time. Mr. Zhao helped Master Xingyun to visit Mainland of China for many times, bringing the exchange of Buddhism across the Taiwan strait to climax. They have the common ideal of building the world into a pure land, so it is easy to arouse the emotional and ideological resonance. As an important part of the crossstrait folk communication, Master Xingyun and Mr. Zhao have made an indelible contribution to the promotion of peaceful communication between the both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
