Liu Han-fang and The Protection of Cultural Relics in Lv-shun-kou

刘含芳任北洋旅顺营务处工程局会办和山东登莱青兵备道驻防旅顺口办理海防期间,先后主持旅顺口天后宫重修工程,为明将黄龙等合葬、立碑、建祠,为鸿胪井刻石建石亭保护。刘含芳对文物的重视,与其文武兼备,有着深厚的文化素养密切相关。他深谙中华传统文化。刘含芳保护、抢救旅顺口历史文物的义举,诠释了其殷殷赤子之情、拳拳报国之心,其爱国主义精神和行为令人敬佩!

When Liu Han-fang took charge ofBeiyang Lvshun Administration Office as an official to rectify the armed force of Shandong Deng-lai-qing to perform garrison duty, he respectively commanded to rebuild Lv-shun-kou Tian- hou Palace to set memorial for Huang-long, a general of Ming Dynasty, and to protect the Hong-lu Well Stele. That Liu Han-fang attaching great importance to the protection of culture relics has much to do with his advantages in both civil and military affairs, because he was familiar with traditional Chinese culture. His protection of the historical relics in Lu-shun greatly demonstrated his patriotism that inspired Chinese people.
