Chinese Film Week, jointly hosted by the Syrian Ministry of Culture and the Chinese Embassy in Syria, kicked off on March 9th in Damascus. Qi Qianjin, the Chinese Ambassador to Syria, said that the Chinese Embassy selected many films of various themes and different styles, hoping to help the Syrian people have a better under- standing of China＇s customs, history and culture, and social and economic development in order to strengthen the relationship between the two countries. This event will boost film exchange and cooperation between the two countries.
