语用学研究的关系转向——人际语用学:范围、对象与方法

Relational Turn of Pragmatics——Interpersonal Pragmatics: Research Scope,Objectives and Methodology

人际语用学探究交际中语言和非语言方面与人际关系的相互影响和制约。虽然传统语用学的面子、身份、不/礼貌等研究也关涉人际关系,但人际语用学不把语言作为唯一研究对象,探究语言本质,而把关系单独概念化,采用多学科、跨学科视角研究与关系有关联的各种多模态意义符号,因此极大地拓宽语用学研究视域。本文梳理人际语用学的研究范围、对象与方法,旨在为语用学的理论和实践发展提供启发。

Interpersonal pragmatics explores the interpersonal/relational or relating aspects of verbal and nonverbal communication and interaction. Pragmatic studies on face,identity,and（im） politeness have examined interpersonal relations,however,interpersonal pragmatics conceptualizes relations as a distinct concept in its own right. More importantly,it has been shifted away from understanding the nature of language towards understanding of human relations by taking an interdisciplinary approach or a multidisciplinary one. Thus,it greatly broadens the research domain of pragmatics. This paper discusses the research scope,objectives and methodology of interpersonal pragmatics,intending to offer some insights for further development of pragmatics.
