In August 2017, the Shanghai Gold Exchange （SGE） saw transactions with a total value of 18475.51 billion yuan, up 13.33% year-on-year. In August, gold was traded 4549408.6 kilograms in the SGE, up 18.68% year-on-year; the trading value of gold stood at 1263.542 billion yuan, up 15.41% year-on-year; and its average daily turnover was 197800.37 kilograms.
