Toni Morrison is the first black woman writer who wins the Nobel Prize for literature in the United States, and the theme of her works mainly explores and represents the black＇s history, spiritual world and fate. Not only does she concern about the gender persecution and racial discrimination suffered by the black women, but also she creates many excellent black male images. This paper mainly explores the black male image in Toni Morrison＇s novels, and makes a study on the black male image by taking the three novels Song of Solomon, Shora and Mercy as the research samples, and explores the black men＇s spiritual crisis, identity and growth process.
