晚清时,我国的古典戏曲从衰落一步步消亡殆尽,因此,晚清的戏曲发展停滞不前。首先着重研究许善长的家世和生平,推测其生平事迹对其不同时期作品的影响。其次,着重研究许善长的爱好、交友、创作及其理论。最后,着重研究许善长的戏曲、杂剧的艺术特色、写作理论。让人们以崭新的眼光认识这位幽默且情深的注重技巧的戏曲家。

In the late Qing dynasty, the classical drama of our country has gradually died out from the decline, and the drama development at that period was stagnant. This paper first makes a study on Xu Shanchang＇s family life and life experience, speculates on the influence of his life story on his works in different periods; secondly, it focuses on his hobby, friendship, creation and theory; finally, it studies on the artistic characteristics and the writing theory of his operasand dramas.
