Pipe belt conveyor makes fully enclosed conveying a reality without troubles such as material spilling and dust flying, thus being increasingly applied in mining, coal, cement, metallurgy and other industries. Taking engineering practice as an example, the paper elaborates on what is novel about this kind of conveyor and its benefit to the society and economy.
