质性研究方法本土化:反思与建构——从方法论的“中心-边缘”困境谈起

The Localization of Qualitative Research Methods:Reflection and Construction——On Center-edge Dilemma of Methodology

本文揭示了质性研究方法 "中心-边缘"困境的历史与文化根源,及在此困局影响下非英美地域研究长期处于边缘化和失语的境地。英美质性研究方法与技术占据着主导智识生产的"中心"地位,非英美学者及其本土研究被贴上了未"现代化"的标签。为打破这一局面,本文着力问题化英美质性研究方法所依托的本体论与认识论基础、浅析中国哲学思想为质性研究留下的宝贵遗产(如整体观和变化观),以呼吁学界同仁投入到质性研究方法本土化问题的讨论中来。

This paper reveals the historical and cultural roots of the center-edge dilemma of qualitative research methodology,and the marginalized and aphasic non Anglo and American regional studies under the influence of the dilemma for a long time. The British and American qualitative research methodology and technology have dominated the central position of intellectual production,while non Anglo and American scholars and indigenous studies are labeled as non-modern. In order to break this situation,this paper focuses on the problems of ontological and epistemological basis of British and American qualitative research methodology,and analyzes the precious Chinese philosophic heritage of qualitative research such as the holistic view and the view of change,making an appeal for academic colleagues to be engaged in the discussion of the localization of qualitative research methodology.
