Julio Cortazar tried to show the reader the social spiritual crisis and humanistic perplexity through the postmodernism writing techniques. In Hopscotch he used the fuzziness of absurb characters, the discontinuity of the story plot, the uncertainty of narra- tive structure and the variability of language skills to depict a strange picture of the literature, reflecting a fragmented, disorderly, weird absurd maze-like postmodern world, which exposures and ridicules the absurdity of society at that time and the nature of the individual self-division and spiritual breakdown.
