“针者,感也”刍议

Discussion about the Acupuncture and Needling Sensations

试从文字起源、"咸"卦含义及交相感应在针刺中的运用三个角度,探讨"鍼"的含义。笔者认为"针者,感也","针"的含义揭示了针灸取效的关键就是针感。在临床针刺治疗中,尤其应注意左右、上下、前后以及经脉间交相感应的运用,更利于提高针灸临床疗效。

This article aimed to discuss the definition of the ancient character Zhen （needle） from three aspects： the origin of the character, the meaning of hexagram Xian, and application of interaction in acupuncture. The writers hold that Zhen means feeling, and the definition of Zhen reveals that the key to achieving acupuncture efficacy is needling sensation. In clinic, when practicing acupuncture, the writers should especially pay attention to the use of interactions between the left and the right, the upper and the lower, the anterior and the posterior, and intersections among meridians, which will benefit the enhancement the clinical efficacy of acupuncture-moxibustion therapy.
