摘要
美育是关于人格完美的教育。在亚细亚生产方式制约下的古代中国,家庭和家族成为社会稳定发展的基石,培养完美人格以有为于世、光宗耀祖成了家庭和家族的不二之选,也使家庭美育在古代中国占有十分重要的地位,成为学校美育和社会美育的基础与枢纽。以徐勉"清白传家"和"忧国忘家"家训为代表的中国传统家庭美育思想泽溉久远,意义非凡。认真搜集和挖掘传统家庭美育思想材料,并从不同学科中找到它们之间的内在关系,是我们建构和实践当代中国美育理论的前提和条件。只有真正弄清楚我们自己固有的美育思想的内涵及其理论形态的特征,我们才可能与西方美育思想理论融为一体,创造出属于我们中华民族自己的当代美育理论体系。
Aesthetic education is about fostering a perfect personality. Under the constraints of the Asian mode of produc- tion, families and clans in ancient China constituted the cornerstone of social stability and development. Consequently, to cultivate a perfect personality to succeed in the world and thereby honor the family name became the inevitable choice for the family or clan. This accounts for the important place aesthetic education commanded in families in ancient China and the foundation it provided for school and social aesthetic education. The aesthetic education thought of traditional Chinese families represented by Xu Mian's admonitions of " cherish a spotless family reputation" and " put national interest before familial piety" is of long duration and great significance. It is the prerequisite and condition for the construction and practice of contemporary Chinese aesthetic education theory to conscientiously collect and excavate the aesthetic education thought of traditional families. Only by figuring out the real importance of our own thought of aesthetic education and its theoretic features can we integrate with the theory of Western aesthetic education thought to create a contemporary aesthetic theory system that is truly Chinese.
