This paper discusses the important role of competition activities in cultivating college students ＇mathematics application ability, innovation ability and teamwork from the development of college students＂ mathematical modeling competition. It analy- zes the important impact of competition activities on mathematics teaching reform and quality training in higher vocational colle- ges.
